Hayley Canham is a stage & screen actress and singer-songwriter (under the name, cannibal). She was born in the UK in 2002 and has dual English/New Zealand roots. She is best known for playing Matilda in RSC’s Matilda The Musical and Cathy in RNT’s The Hard Problem as well as roles on screen in Penny Dreadful (2014), Junior MasterChef (2010), The Royal Variety Performance 2012 (2012) and the Paramount+ series Halo (2022). Alongside acting, Hayley has worked extensively as a director and writer, notably staging her original show Medea The Musical in Cambridge and Edinburgh to sold out audiences, with future productions in the works. As a singer, she has appeared on The Voice Kids (2017) and has released 12 singles under cannibal which have all been played on BBC Radio.
